To be more specific the look of late 2006, has become the hairstyle to have for 2007.

The look is short, sexy and stylish. The good news is it doesn?t just look great, there is a style for all women and it?s the ultimate in convenience.

Short hair is back but its nothing new and goes back nearly 100 years.

The background

In the 1920?s it was seen as the height of chic and style and the short page boy cut look was everywhere.

In the sixties female liberation was on the march and Twiggy became a superstar of the generation and launched millions of short cuts with her distinctive look.

Short hair cuts received a huge boost in 2006 when the model Agyness Deyn cut her hair into a stunning platinum crop, modeled on 80s model Jenny Howarth.

Her career flourished, many fashion models followed her lead and established this as the hairstyle of 2006.

There are two main reasons why the hairstyle of 2006 remains the hairstyle of 2007.

Women use the crop as a statement of a new start and a short haircut makes the statement, I am free and strong.
